Migraine Prevention
Botox has now been specifically indicated for the prevention of chronic migraine. It is indicated for use in adults who have headaches on at least 15 days per month, of which 8 or more of these headaches are migraine.

Your treatment is administered as a series of small injections across seven head and neck muscle areas. For optimum management the treatment must be done regularly. Your injections must be performed by a practitioner experienced in this procedure.
The treatment is thought to suppress peripheral pain signals to the central nervous system by blocking the release of neurotransmitters. This can reduce both the severity and frequency of attacks.
Only clients with a specific diagnosis of Migraine from a medical source can have treatment. If you suffer from headaches which have not yet been investigated by your GP you must do so in the first instance.
